The 2026 Australian Junior Amateur is now underway at Ballarat Golf Club, running from Tuesday 7th through to Friday 10th April.

A full field of 156 of the nation’s best junior golfers will take on the course, including five past champions returning to add experience and pedigree to an already elite lineup. Conducted by Golf Australia, the championship is both a GA National Junior Order of Merit and World Amateur Golf Ranking event, making it one of the premier junior tournaments on the calendar.

The modern format, introduced in 2021, will again see boys and girls competing on the same course at the same time, with an even split of 78 boys and 78 girls. Open to players under the age of 17, the event will be contested over 72 holes, with a cut made after 54 holes to the top 36 boys and top 36 girls (plus ties) who will progress to the final round on Friday from 8:30am til 10am. The final group will conclude about 2:30pm. With so much talent on display, Ballarat Golf Club is set to host an outstanding week of junior golf.
