2025 Club Championships

The Ballarat Club Championships commence on the 8th of February.

Following review of previous years - including the input from members, pace of play considerations and changes made last year to ensure as much ability to qualify as considered fair and reasonable to all - some details / changes have been made to make the event as open to and enjoyable for all.

As in previous years the ability for all members wishing to enter Round one of the men's championships has been limited therefore:

As in previous years the first Saturday women, girls and lifestyle members are unable to play.
The time-sheets for the Saturday rounds of the Championships will be a single tee start with the last available tee time at 3:00 PM. The course will then be CLOSED to all play after this.
Entry will be via the online time-sheets via the "normal" booking process for all rounds.
HOWEVER the final men's round will have slots reserved for the top 4 players in each grade commencing with E Grade at 11:30 AM and following on from there for the other grades.

Members wishing to compete in the Championship are to advise the pro-shop when checking in for their first round and are to pay the additional $10 entry fee for the Championship Entry.

DAILY EVENT

All playing on the qualifying days are entered into the daily event - these will be stableford and those competing in the stroke championships events the scores will be converted to stableford for the daily event.

For those who wish to play only in the daily events and not enter the Championships, your choice of tee remains open as normal. For those competing in the Championship you are locked to your first round grade / tees for all rounds.

Men's - (GA based on Black Tee Rating)

A Grade (+ to 3.4) - Black Tee Stroke (Gross)
B Grade (3.5 to 7.0) - Black Tee Stroke (Gross)
C Grade (7.1 to 12.6) - Black Tee Stroke (Gross)
D Grade (12.7 to 18.5) - Orange Tee STABLEFORD
E Grade (18.6 to 54.0) - Orange Tee STABLEFORD

Women's (GA based on Green Tee Rating)

A Grade (+ to 15.4) - Gross
B Grade (15.5 to 24.7) - Gross
C Grade (24.8 to 32..1) - Stableford
D Grade (32.2 to 54.0) - Stableford

Men Qualifying Rounds

Round 1 Saturday 8th February
Round 2 Saturday 15th February
Round 3 Saturday 22nd February

Women Qualifying Rounds

Round 1 Sunday 9th February, Wednesday 12 February, or Saturday the 15th of February
Round 2 Sunday 16th February, Wednesday 21st February, or Saturday the 22nd February

Junior Boys Qualify Rounds

Round 1 Saturday 8th February or Sunday 9th February
Round 2 Saturday 15th February or Sunday 16thth February

Junior Girl's Qualifying Rounds

Round 1 Sunday 9th February, Wednesday 12th February, or Saturday the 15th of February
Round 2 Sunday 16th February, Wednesday 19th February, or Saturday the 22nd February

Note: Junior boys wishing to compete in the men's (graded) championships must play on the Saturdays - the first 2 Saturdays will be their junior qualifying rounds.

NOTE:

Women and Juniors choosing either the Sunday, Saturday or Wednesday for qualifying rounds CAN ONLY play their qualify rounds on the same day each round
Any juniors playing qualifying rounds must have an playing adult in the group.
Handicaps are "locked" for all the qualifying rounds
Finals match-play - handicaps are "daily"

SEMI FINALS - Sunday 23rd February
FINALS - Sunday 2nd March
