community involvement

The Ballarat Golf Club continues to make positive contributions to the local area by attracting national golf events and conferences, bringing visitors to the region for extended periods. As a not-for-profit organisation any revenue made is put back into the community by improving services and offerings at the club.

Many community groups and organisations prefer to hold events at the Ballarat Golf Club for the user friendly accesibility from parking to spacious facilities. The club has strong relationships with many local Rotary and Probus groups and continues to be a favourite venue amongst the community for seniors meals and our seniors golf competition.

The club has been heavily involved in the Ballarat Club Managers Forum with the groups clear objective to promote clubs for the community. Directly, the club supports local communities and continues to provide funding, facilities and services to a number of local organisations including Girls Night Out For Cancer, The Soup Bus, Beanies for Brain Cancer, Ballarat Rotary and Ballarat Miners Basketball.

The club offers strong employment opportunities through apprenticeships, traineeships and ongoing education and training for our valued staff.

The social membership category was re-launched as a way to engage with our local community and to position the club as a venue for people to meet and enjoy the facility without the need for a golf membership. Now we welcome social members on Tuesday nights for a special social night with raffles, members draw and great food and beverage offers.
