New Course Indexes
As of Monday the 28th of October the new course indexes will be introduced for all our courses.
These changes are based on the data of 19909 score cards over the past 20 months
We have altered the way we calculate the index for the +5 to 18 range handicaps. As there is a significant difference between a 3 & 18 handicapper, we have now split the calculating to rate each hole by +5 to 9 and 10 to 18. This effectively provides for a fairer index distribution for all – notably on the calculated harder holes.
The new MiClub system also has the ability for all members to play a 9-hole event and now be handicapped. For any nine-hole events the 9-hole index will now be shown on the App & score card. Your handicapped is then halved at the end of the round. If playing 9 please advise the pro-shop which nine you are playing before commencing play.
As has been done in the past, the index for each nine has been adjusted to allow for a near equal number of shots being allowed on each 9
As noted, all new indexes will be effective from Monday the 28th and will be reflected on the scoring app & card. To further assist we have created a small index reference card that can be printed out for you to use for social golf and to assist with the changes.
