Ballarat District Golf Incorp Womens Midweek Pennant finals were played on Monday 20th May 2019 at Hepburn Golf Club in very damp mild conditions.
A big Congratulations to our Ballarat Division 2 Red team who defeated top team Beaufort 3-2 to retain the shield. Captain Sue Sidebottom was thrown into disarray at 6.00am on Monday morning when her no. 2 player Di Rogers had to pull out with a bad bout of gastro. Thankfully, Division 3 player Janise Cossins accepted Sue’s early morning phone call to fill-in and won her match 5/3! Well done to team members – Sue Sidebottom (Capt), Cheryl Lillingston, Lesa Gray, Liz McMurray and Janise Cossins on a great win.

Division 1 – Midlands defeated Ballarat 3-2 – a very close contest in all matches with one of our players losing on the 19th
Division 3 – Hepburn’s home course knowledge proved vital and proved too strong defeating Ballarat Blue team – 3 ½ - 1 ½
